Washing machine leaks only during the spin cycle

Spin-only leaks point at pressure and movement, not a static seal. The drum shifts under imbalance and the leak follows. Check the sump hose clamp beneath the drum and the outlet hose connection at the back — both are fine at rest and weep when the machine vibrates. Run a spin with the back panel off and a torch pointed at the sump; you will see it within thirty seconds.
