Exploding offers are a negotiating tactic far more often than a genuine constraint, and treating the deadline as real is how they work. Ask directly what happens if you need until Friday — a reasonable employer will grant it, and one that will not has told you something useful about how they operate. If the deadline truly is firm, decide on the offer as it stands and ignore the other process entirely; a possibility two weeks out cannot be weighed against an offer in hand.
